Analog No. 70
A 70's Playlist
I grew up appreciating music from the 1970s even though I didn’t grow up in that era. There’s a certain magic in those records that moves me in a way that’s hard to explain. From Stevie Wonder to Aretha Franklin, all the way to Ann Peebles… I love it all. Every time I listen to music from this era I get inspired to create. It’s like fuel for my imagination.
If I could time travel, I wouldn’t even try to fix the future. I’d just go back to the 70s and be a fly on the wall while these artists were recording. I’d sit in the corner of the studio and soak it all in. The raw vocals, the analog warmth, the live instrumentation, the honesty in the lyrics. That type of music is alive. It breathes. It speaks to your spirit.
I made this playlist as a little time machine. A sonic trip to a time when artists really sang. When people weren’t afraid to be dramatic, emotional, and experiment. No skips. No fluff. Just real music. Press play.
